Parsifal
Teatro della Vita, palcoscenico allestito:
sulle tavole che contano i giorni
si ripete una scena già vista.
Inquietante e ambigua,
ossessiva ed insinuante, seno nudo e
calze rosse,

E lei, novella Ginevra in abito d'oro
regina di cuori per contrasto d'amore,
fa il suo ingresso nel magico salone,
destando in ogni cuore fortissima emozione.
E i suoi Cavalieri?
Nell'atrio solenne già incrocian le spade,
è tutto un bagliore di lame affilate.
La musica tace, l'incantesimo è rotto:
duellan per lei Re Artù e Lancillotto!

2005 below
oil and acrylic on canvas, cm 100x100
Work inspired by the structure, rhythm and tension of Matisse's "The dance",
but marked by the opposite iconographic process, in which the female bodies,
namely, arrive to one of the more topical form of popular artistic expression
of present time: the strip cartoons.

The hill woman. That is, Stella Asia's portrait

water-colour, cm 30x20

An anthropomorphic landscape, or vice-versa? It comes after to the
"island-woman", the "tree-woman", the
"clepsydra-woman", in the attempt of grasping, or to assigning, to
objects, places, events, a universal and romantic vision of the feminine.

A modern interpretation of female fascination, "Venus in mini-skirt"
refers to the posture of some well known representations, from the Medici's
Venus (first century B.C.), to Botticelli's one. Bixio's Venus rises from the
cloth-waves of the "Barcaccia" fountain, in a recognizable roman
landscape that surfaces from personal suggestions, as from fragments of life
experience suggested by the model herself.
